An adventurous walk that cuts across the uniqueness of the Everest region complemented perfectly by the best available luxury accommodations and meals up in the mountains.
Trekking to the Everest region is surely not a walk in the park, but you do not have to completely give up on luxury either. The Everest Base Camp luxury lodge trek offered by 32 ensures that you have a comfortable room with a private bathroom and a heated bed, together with a delightful meal awaiting your arrival at the end of a grueling day of the trek. We only make use of the best available accommodation services in the places where we stop for the night. You may even have the best view in the comfort of your bedroom. In Kathmandu, you spend the night at a five-star hotel.
The trekking experience is unparalleled to any other and you spend almost all of the trek days inside the Sagarmatha National Park. Rare species of vegetation and wildlife inhabit this park in the Himalayas which gets its name from the Nepali version for Mount Everest translating to “head of the world reaching the sky”. Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Lhotse (8,516m) are other 8,000’ers that rise high within the park. The distinctive Sherpa settlements at historic villages like Dingboche, Tengboche, and the town of Namche Bazaar are an integral part of life in the Everest region. The experience is incomplete still without the inclusion of the sacred Buddhist monasteries in the region. While one of the largest monasteries is in Tengboche, other monasteries add a different hue to paint a broader picture of Buddhism in the Himalayas.
32 welcomes you to the Tribhuvan International Airport in the historic city of Kathmandu. A representative takes you to your hotel in a private car. We meet up along with our guide so you could know him better. A welcome dinner is arranged at an authentic Nepali restaurant that serves Nepali food along with an entertaining cultural show. You are escorted back to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Our porter receives us there and our bags are unloaded and packed for the trek. We take a short break at Lukla and then start our trek to the day’s stop – Phakding.
The trek starts along the trail beside the Dudhkoshi River. The trail is a pleasant medley past beautiful villages like Chheplung and Thado Koshigaon, eye-catching Mani walls, and wavering prayer flags. Peaks such as: Kongde, Kusum Kanguru and Thamserku delight us often. Delicious dinner and a warm bed at a luxury lodge in Phakding.

The trek resumes after breakfast. We start walking through the pine forests while crossing small rivers over steel and suspension bridges on the way. We’re treated to a fine view of Thamserku a little further from the village of Toktok. The trail up ahead climbs and drops successively as we walk on different sides of the river while passing farms, chortens and more mani walls. At Monjo, we make a formal entry into the Sagarmatha National Park at the checkpost. We then come across Jorsale before crossing a suspension bridge to make our way into a pine forest. A little later, we find ourselves ready to cross the highest Hillary Bridge where a high ridge trail to Namche appears. Along the windy uphill path to Namche, we get our first view of Everest. Two hours later, we arrive at the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
We wake up to a beautiful morning view from the bedroom window. The peak of Khumbila towers above Namche while Konde Ri flanks the western side of the village. We spend a day exploring the town, hiking to a beautiful viewpoint and resting at our luxury lodge in Namche. After breakfast, we walk to the Everest View point (3880m/12730ft) in the morning after breakfast. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Taboche, Kusum Kanguru, Amadablam and Thamserku make for a great view from here. We get back to our hotel to have lunch and allow some rest to our acclimatizing bodies. The afternoon and evenings are great for exploring the beautiful stupa with water-powered prayer wheels revolving beneath, Namche monastery or checking out the hip bar, cafés and restaurants. We head back to our lodge to dine and sleep in luxury.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
We start out along an easy cycling trail that shoots out of the market area. The trail passes along the side of the mountain, past white chortens with the skyline lit up by the glowing view of beautiful peaks, Mt. Amadablam, Lhotse Shar, and Taboche to name a few. We arrive at Kenzoma after descending a short section a few hours later. A little ahead, we take the lower path leading to Phunke Tenga from Sanasa. A quick view of Amadablam gets us going. At Phunke Tenga, we cross the Imja River to embark on a steady uphill hike through dense rhododendron forest for almost two hours to reach Tengboche. The Tengboche monastery shows up beside the trail and we walk through the meadow towards the village. We may explore the monastery in the afternoon and join the prayers. Overnight at Tengboche.
Included:Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
The trek resumes after breakfast. We begin walking through a forested area rife with rhododendron trees which continues until the village of Pangboche. The monastery in Pangboche is one of the oldest monasteries in the Khumbu region. From Pangboche, we continue our climb along the Imja River through pastures with yaks grazing. The terrain changes drastically to a dry and rocky one. A little over an hour into the trek, we reach Orsho. From here we deviate from the main trail to cross the river and hike up the road that leads to Dingboche. Dingboche is an off-the-track Sherpa village with beautiful view of Lhotse and other peaks. We stop for the night at the best lodge in the place.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
If we couldn’t find time to explore the village yesterday, we do so today on our second acclimatization and rest day of the trek. We have climbed to an altitude of over 4,400m and the need for the body to adjust goes higher. We take a morning hike to a viewpoint along the trail that leads to the Nankar Tshang peak to get a splendid view of Tabuche, Cholatse, Chhukung Ri and Makalu. The head back to our lodge to rest and have lunch. We may spend the afternoon climbing other nearby ridges for more views or in the market area that has some shops, restaurant and a bakery. Overnight at Dingboche.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
After breakfast, we start walking along the mountainside trail for about two hours through Dusa to reach Dughla. We may stop for lunch at Dughla before slowly climbing up a ridge to cross a set of memorials dedicated to unfortunate adventurers who lost their lives. The path to Lobuche climbs on for a few more hours along the gravelly moraine of the Khumbhu glacier. On reaching Lobuche, we may continue a little further east to catch a view of the Khumbu glacier. Overnight at Lobuche.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
It’s an important day. Aiming to be at the base camp by mid-day, we make an early start. We start a slow and steady walk along the trail between the mountain and the moraine edged by the Khumbu glacier. After two to three hours of sustained walk, we reach Gorakshep which was once the bottom of a lake. The sandy village basin is a crucial stop to reach Kalapatthar and offers a worthy view of Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse and Changtse. We check into our hotel and get ready for our ascent to the base camp. The trail is mostly gentle but the altitude and terrain add much roughness. We maintain a slow and watchful pace as we traverse the Khumbu glacier and walk between boulders and aside high mountains. The base camp is reached two to three hours later. Memorials devoted to the failed summiteers can be seen. It is hard to imagine the place busy with expedition camps during the summer months of April to May. A ridge before the basecamp reveals a surreal view from west to east of Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, Nuptse, Lhotse and other peaks protruding in the horizon. The Khumbu icefall does appear exhilarating between Nutpse and Lhotse. We return back to the warmth and comfort of our hotel at Gorakshep. Dinner and rest at the luxury lodge beneath Everest.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
The golden view from Kalapatthar as the early sunbeam light up the summit of the Himalayas requires us to start at the crack of dawn. Although the cold is unforgiving and the wind is high, the weather is clear at this time of the day. The path to this epic viewpoint is a two hour trudge over a moderate trail that spans slight highs and lows. On reaching the top, we are placed in front of an all-round, unobstructed view of the vast Himalayas. This is arguably, the best view of Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse. Other known mountains that comprise this grand vista are: Pumori, Amadablam, Khantega, Thamserku, Taboche, and Cholatse. After the highpoint of the trek, it’s time to head back to Gorakshep to get breakfast and initiate our return trek.
After breakfast at Gorakshep, we follow the trail back down to Lobuche and further down to Dughla. Across the stream just after Dughla, the trail separates and we take the one on our right that drops down to Pheriche. Overnight at Pheriche.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
The descent continues after breakfast. We start by crossing a bridge over the Khumbu River after Pheriche and continue down to Orsho, Somare and eventually to Pangboche. After spending days in a landscape dominated by grey and brown, although not quite missing the forests, the greenery that starts to show up more often along the trail today feels welcoming. We cross a small bridge again and walk briefly through the forested areas before Tengboche. We drop down until Sanasa where Amadablam appears alluring. We then take the high route leading to that ends at Namche Bazaar. At our luxury lodge, we enjoy hot shower, filling diner and a good night’s rest.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Our morning dose of fuel for the cells gets us walking down the trail that leads to Lukla. The initial path drops steeply to the Hillary Bridge and we stroll on the other side along the easy trail through Jorsale, crossing several suspension bridges and settlements for the final time to arrive at Lukla by afternoon. The adventure in the Everest comes to an end. Most of the trekkers like to celebrate and have fun on their last day in the Khumbu region. Overnight at Lukla.
Included: Mountain lodge accommodation with full board of meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
